Hi, I'm Arlen.
I'm in year 2 of a Bachelor of Arts/Science double-degree at Monash University, Australia.
My main interests include programming, Asian language/culture, and linguistics/semantics in general. I might do some post-grad work in linguistics, and on raising the level of my language abilities.
I study Japanese, Chinese, Korean and French. The relative similarity between these East Asian languages and the cognates that result from the use of the CJK characters is of special interest.
RubyEx is the name of a parser/bytecode-compiler and bytecode-interpreting Linux kernel module for the programming language Ruby I am developing as time permits.
I write on topics of interest to the Ruby and wider programming communities on occasion.
